FIRST Tech Challenge

The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a competitive robotics program designed for middle and high school students, typically aged 12 to 18. It is part of the larger FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics competition, which aims to inspire young people's interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

The primary mission of FTC is to inspire and engage students in STEM through a unique and challenging robotics competition.

FTC teams typically consist of up to 15 students, along with adult mentors and coaches. Teams are encouraged to collaborate, brainstorm, design, build, and program a robot to compete in an annual challenge.

FIRST encourages a culture of "Gracious Professionalism," which emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and respect for all participants, whether they win or lose.
