The team members have a diverse range of specializations, including Mechanics, Programming, 3D Printing, PR strategy, and Communication.
We are committed to ongoing training and knowledge transfer, ensuring that students, volunteers, and teachers have the opportunity to learn and grow.
Robotics Competitions and Challenges
The Team was founded and debuted in 2022-2023 season of FIRST Tech Chanllenge. The team has already made its mark in the 2022-2023 season, winning the Judge Award at the National Competition and earning the Connect Award #3 at the Regional Competition.
Community Outreach and Partnerships
RoSophia is proactive in building a program schedule to engage students from different schools, with the assistance of the Excellence Center in Galati.
We maintain an active presence on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to share our progress, insights, and experiences with a wider audience.
Robotics Consulting and Training
We offer consulting and training services to students and teachers that are interested in incorporating robotics and automation into their portofolio. Our team can provide guidance on how to integrate robotics into your class, performance and even life.

Mentors
Behind every successful journey of discovery and innovation, there are mentors who illuminate the path. At RoSophia, our dedicated mentors play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of our young enthusiasts. Led by the unwavering guidance of Ionela Penu, a computer science teacher, Marinela Buruiana, a robotics teacher and founder of the Sophia Science Robotics Club, and Alexandra Buruiana, an FTC Alumni and robotics teacher assistant, our mentors bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. With their guidance, our team members learn not only the technical intricacies of robotics but also the values of teamwork, perseverance, and the joy of creative problem-solving. RoSophia owes its success to the passion and commitment of these mentors, who tirelessly work to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of STEM leaders.
